What a quote actually includes

A Fly Bitlux quote is built for a specific aircraft, route, and date — not a generic estimate. What’s typically included in the quoted trip cost:

  • Aircraft and crew for the requested routing
  • Standard crew duty and positioning tied to that specific trip
  • Landing fees and standard ramp/handling at the departure and arrival airports for that trip

What typically sits outside the base quote

  • Costs that depend on the day rather than the routing commonly sit outside the base figure: international permits and customs or handling fees at foreign stops, de-icing, overnight crew expenses on multi-day schedules, catering above a standard level, and ground transportation. Whether any of these apply — and whether they’re bundled or itemized — depends on the operator and the trip, which is why your quote is the authority rather than a generic list.

Ask the desk to itemize anything you’re unsure about before confirming a trip. A legitimate broker quote should be able to explain, line by line, what’s covered.

From inquiry to flight: the actual steps

  1. Inquiry — You contact Fly Bitlux with your route, dates, and passenger count, by phone or through the quote request tool.
  2. Aircraft sourcing — Fly Bitlux checks availability across its operator network for aircraft that fit your trip — cabin size, range, and schedule.
  3. Operator vetting check — Before any aircraft is presented to you, the operator behind it has already cleared Fly Bitlux’s standing vetting criteria. This isn’t a step done after you pick a flight — it’s a precondition for an aircraft appearing as an option at all.
  4. Quote presented — You receive pricing for a specific tail or cabin class, tied to a specific operator, not a placeholder estimate.
  5. Selection and paperwork — You choose the aircraft. Trip agreement and payment terms are confirmed.
  6. Payment — Card, wire, or cryptocurrency — see our crypto payment page for details on that option specifically.
  7. Operator confirms the flight — The Part 135 carrier makes its own go/no-go call based on weather, maintenance status, and crew duty time. This is the operator’s legal authority, not Fly Bitlux’s.
  8. Flight — You fly. Fly Bitlux remains the point of contact for any changes before or during the trip.

FAQ

If Fly Bitlux doesn’t own the aircraft, who is actually responsible for my flight’s safety? The FAA-certified Part 135 (or foreign-equivalent) operator holds operational control and legal responsibility for the flight — the certificate, the crew, the maintenance program, and the go/no-go decision are all theirs. Fly Bitlux’s responsibility is sourcing and vetting that operator before ever offering you the trip.

What does “Part 295” actually mean? It’s the FAA regulation governing air-charter brokers — companies that arrange charter flights without holding an operating certificate themselves. It’s the legal basis for the broker/operator split described on this page, and it’s why a legitimate broker will always disclose which operator is actually flying you.

Can a broker override an operator’s decision to delay or cancel a flight for weather or maintenance? No. That decision belongs to the operator by law. A broker that claims otherwise is misrepresenting how operational control works.

How does Fly Bitlux check an operator before offering their aircraft to a client? Fly Bitlux is one of only 19 ARGUS-Certified charter brokers worldwide, meaning its vetting process has itself been independently certified. Operators are checked against certification status, safety history, and insurance before being offered on any trip. Ask the desk what the operator on your trip holds and we’ll tell you.

Will my quote change after I accept it? A quote is built for a specific aircraft, route, and date. Change the aircraft, the route, or the date and the trip has to be re-sourced, so you get a fresh quote rather than an edit to the old one. If nothing about the trip changes, the quote you accepted is the quote.
