Fly Bitlux arranges private jet charter into and out of Frankfurt — Germany’s financial capital and one of Europe’s busiest business-aviation markets. As a charter broker, we source the right certified aircraft and crew on ARGUS- and Wyvern-rated operators, pick the correct Frankfurt-area airport for your aircraft and trip, and handle FBO, customs, and slot coordination end to end.
The Frankfurt area has three realistic airports for private jets, and the right one depends mostly on your aircraft size.
The main international gateway and the right field for larger cabins. FRA’s long runways handle everything up to heavy and ultra-long-range jets, with full customs and immigration and several FBOs / executive-handling facilities. Heavy jets like the Embraer Legacy 600 and Bombardier Challenger 604 that can’t use the shorter general-aviation field will operate here. Trade-off: it shares airspace and slots with heavy airline traffic, so slots matter in peak periods.
Egelsbach is the dedicated general-aviation field about 15 km south of the city — fast, uncongested handling and a favorite for light and midsize jets. But its runway is short (roughly 1,400 m) with a published weight limit around 20 tonnes, which puts heavy jets out of reach. It’s ideal for a Phenom 300 or Citation XLS, not for a Legacy 600 or Challenger 604 — those use FRA. We confirm aircraft suitability for QEF on every booking.
Hahn sits about 120 km west of Frankfurt in the Hunsrück hills — a full-length runway with no slot congestion and 24-hour operation, useful for larger aircraft or off-peak timing when FRA is tight. The trade-off is the long ground transfer into the city, so it’s a situational choice rather than a default.
FRA has multiple executive-handling / FBO operations with on-field customs and immigration for international (non-Schengen) arrivals; Schengen-internal flights skip passport control. Egelsbach offers streamlined GA handling and can arrange customs for non-Schengen arrivals with advance notice; Hahn has its own handling and customs. Your Fly Bitlux desk arranges the FBO, slots, and customs coordination for whichever field fits your trip.

Cost depends mainly on cabin class and distance. As a rough guide for European legs: a light jet runs roughly €7,000–€15,000 one-way, a midsize €12,000–€22,000, a super-midsize €18,000–€30,000, and a heavy jet €25,000–€45,000. Transatlantic and long-haul (New York, Dubai) move into €55,000–€140,000 on heavy and ultra-long-range aircraft. These are indicative market ranges, not quotes.
See our fleet page for the full lineup. Note the airport constraint: heavy jets like the Legacy 600 and Challenger 604 operate from FRA because of Egelsbach’s runway and weight limits.
Fly Bitlux is a private jet charter broker, and we arrange flights only on ARGUS- and Wyvern-rated Part 135 operators — independent third-party safety ratings, not self-certification. For Frankfurt that means we pick the right aircraft and the right airport (FRA, Egelsbach, or Hahn) for your trip, and coordinate slots, FBO handling, and customs. Ask us for our ARGUS and Wyvern credentials and we’ll share them directly.

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) handles all cabin classes including heavy jets, with full customs. Egelsbach (QEF) is the general-aviation field for light and midsize jets but has a short runway and ~20-tonne weight limit. Frankfurt-Hahn (HHN), ~120 km west, is a slot-free option for larger aircraft or off-peak timing.
No. Egelsbach’s short runway and roughly 20-tonne weight limit rule out heavy jets like the Embraer Legacy 600 and Bombardier Challenger 604 — those operate from Frankfurt Airport (FRA). Egelsbach suits light and midsize aircraft such as the Phenom 300 and Citation XLS.
London (~1h20), Paris (~1h), Nice (~1h30), Madrid (~2h15), and Mallorca (~1h50) are the top European runs, plus long-haul to New York (~8h30) and Dubai (~6h15) on heavy or ultra-long-range jets.
Flights within the Schengen Area skip passport control. Non-Schengen international arrivals clear customs and immigration at the FBO — at FRA on-field, and at Egelsbach or Hahn with advance arrangement. We coordinate the clearance as part of your handling.
For FRA, allow lead time for slots, especially in peak periods and around major Frankfurt trade fairs. Egelsbach and Hahn are more flexible on short notice. Your desk confirms slot and aircraft availability at booking.
