Charter a private jet to or from Toronto and land at the field that fits your aircraft and schedule. The region’s jet-capable airports are Toronto Pearson (YYZ), Hamilton (YHM), and Oshawa (YOO) — each with its own FBO and executive handling. Fly Bitlux arranges the aircraft, FBO, US/Canada customs, and ground transfer end to end, on ARGUS- and Wyvern-rated operators.

Greater Toronto has several airports, but not all take jets. Here’s where private jets actually operate, with the FBO at each.
The primary international gateway, ~25 km northwest of downtown, with long runways for every category up to ultra-long-range jets and full US and Canadian customs (Pearson has US preclearance for southbound flights). Business-aviation handling runs through Pearson Executive (Signature Flight Support) and the field’s executive terminals. Transfer downtown is ~30–45 minutes.
~70 km southwest in Hamilton, a popular uncongested alternative with a long runway, 24-hour operation, and no slot pressure — good for heavy jets and off-hours arrivals. FBO and executive handling through Signature Flight Support / Million Air Hamilton on the field. It serves the western GTA, Niagara, and Burlington/Oakville.
~60 km east of downtown in Durham Region, a convenient general- and business-aviation airport for the east GTA. It handles light and midsize jets, with FBO and executive services through Toronto Executive Flight Centre. A practical option when you’re headed east of the city.
Billy Bishop Toronto City (YTZ) sits right downtown but its operating agreement prohibits jet aircraft (with a narrow MEDEVAC exception), so it’s a turboprop-only option — aircraft like the King Air or Pilatus PC-12 can use it for the unbeatable downtown location, but jets cannot. Buttonville (CYKZ) is permanently closed (it ceased operations in late 2023) and is no longer an option. For jet charter, use YYZ, YHM, or YOO.

The right aircraft depends on distance and group size. Short US hops suit light jets; transcontinental and transatlantic trips need heavy or ultra-long-range cabins.

Hourly rates run about $4,000–$5,500 for a light jet, $6,000–$8,500 midsize, and $12,000–$18,000 for a heavy jet. By route: Toronto–New York about $9,000–$16,000; Toronto–Miami about $22,000–$36,000; Toronto–Los Angeles about $55,000–$85,000 on a heavy jet. Indicative market ranges, not quotes.
Roughly $8,000–$11,000 in a light jet, $12,000–$17,000 midsize, and $24,000–$36,000 in a heavy jet — and about two hours covers Toronto to New York, Chicago, or the US Northeast. Final pricing depends on aircraft, dates, and repositioning.
A light jet or turboprop on a short route is the lowest-cost option, and empty legs — discounted one-ways on aircraft already repositioning — are cheaper still when your dates are flexible. Flying from Hamilton (YHM) or Oshawa (YOO) can also trim handling costs versus peak slots at Pearson.
For most travelers, chartering is far cheaper. Ownership carries the aircraft purchase plus crew, hangar, insurance, and maintenance — typically only worthwhile above roughly 200–400 flight hours a year. Below that, on-demand charter (or a jet card) gives you private travel without the fixed overhead. We’ll help you compare honestly for your usage.
Pearson (YYZ) for international trips and larger jets, with US preclearance and full FBO handling. Hamilton (YHM) is an uncongested 24-hour alternative good for heavy jets; Oshawa (YOO) is convenient for the east GTA and light/midsize jets. Billy Bishop (YTZ) is downtown but turboprop-only (no jets), and Buttonville is permanently closed.
