Boca Raton is a popular city in South Florida, known for its beautiful beaches, upscale shopping and dining, and luxurious lifestyle. It is also home to large corporations, making it a hub for business travelers. If you are planning your trip to Boca Raton or need to fly out of the city on short notice, chartering a private jet with Bitlux is the way to go.
At Fly Bitlux, we have an exceptional fleet of aircraft ready to take you out of Boca Raton, without the hassle and limitations of commercial airlines. From light jets for short trips to large jets for longer distances, you can flexibly choose the aircraft that best suits your travel needs and get to your destination in the shortest time possible.
Three other airports sit within a 50-minute drive of Boca Raton, and we get asked constantly why we don’t just default to the biggest one.
BCT vs. Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE). FXE is 11 nm south and runs a longer customs window with more FBO capacity — four operators versus two. If your flight includes an international leg landing outside BCT’s Thu–Mon customs hours, FXE is the fallback. But for domestic trips, BCT’s single runway means less taxi queue and a shorter curb-to-wheels-up time. If you’re going straight to Boca or Delray, BCT wins on drive time alone.
BCT vs. Palm Beach International (PBI). PBI is a commercial-service field 18 nm north with scheduled airline traffic sharing the ramp. You’ll get three FBOs and more parking capacity, but you’re sequencing behind airline departures on at least one of the three runways. BCT has none of that — it’s charter, GA, and corporate traffic only.
BCT vs. Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood Intl (FLL). FLL is the nearest full Part 139 international gateway, 19 nm south, and it’s the airport we reroute to if weather or timing blows past BCT’s customs cutoff. It has 24-hour customs and more runway options, but it’s also a Class C commercial hub — expect longer taxi and more wake-turbulence spacing behind airline traffic. We use FLL as insurance, not as the default.
Bottom line: BCT is the right call for domestic trips and any international trip that lands within its Thursday–Monday customs window. We build in FLL or PBI as the contingency the moment a flight plan gets close to that cutoff.
| ICAO / IATA | KBCT / BCT |
| Name | Boca Raton Airport |
| FBOs | Atlantic Aviation, Signature Aviation |
| Runway | 5/23 — 6,276 ft asphalt, grooved |
| Customs | US Customs user-fee airport. Thursday–Monday, 10:30 – 18:30 PM local. Closed to arrivals outside those hours except by prior arrangement, 48 hour approval and additional fee. |
| Curfew | No mandatory curfew. Voluntary noise abatement 2200–0700; touch-and-go training voluntarily restricted 0900–1700 Mon–Fri. |
KBCT sits two miles northwest of downtown. It’s a single-runway field with a control tower (0700–2300 local) and an EMAS overrun system on both ends — short-field capable but the FBOs and city planners keep noise under voluntary control. That 10:30–6:30 customs window, Thursday through Monday, is the detail that actually matters when you’re planning an international leg: miss it and you’re not landing at BCT that day.
The price of chartering a private jet to fly out of Boca Raton depends on the type of aircraft, flight duration, and any additional services you may require. At Bitlux, we offer competitive pricing without sacrificing quality or safety.

Boca Raton is a major hub for several high-volume flight corridors. During the winter, we run almost daily flights from the Northeast, particularly connecting BCT with New York via Teterboro (TEB) and Westchester County (HPN). A super-midsize jet can easily complete the TEB-to-BCT run in about two and a half hours.
We also see heavy traffic from the Midwest, with clients flying in from Chicago Executive (PWK) on midsize or super-midsize aircraft to push through winter headwinds without fuel stops. Our corporate clients also frequently schedule shuttle flights to other major business hubs, including Dallas, Houston, and Orlando.
For travelers seeking a change of scenery, we frequently route flights from the ski slopes of Aspen (ASE) directly to Boca’s sunny tarmac. Because Aspen has its own extreme altitude and runway weight constraints, our team matches the exact heavy jet capable of completing the ASE-to-BCT route safely.
We don’t do cheap airplane food. South Florida has too much great culinary talent to settle for that. If you want fresh stone crabs from Palm Beach or a specific vintage from a local wine merchant, we get it locally. We don’t use generic airport catering vendors.
Also, you can’t just hand a restaurant to-go bag to a flight attendant. Altitudes change how you taste food, and jet microwaves destroy texture. We work with private chefs who prepare meals specifically to handle reheating at 40,000 feet.
Leaving BCT is incredibly easy. If you have a meeting at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, it’s basically next door. Delray’s Atlantic Avenue is a 20-minute drive straight up Military Trail. And the Boca Resort is a quick run down Glades to Camino Real. You skip the highway traffic entirely on your Boca Raton private jet charter trip.
Flying domestic is simple, but international trips have a major catch: customs. KBCT has its own U.S. Customs facility on the field, which is great, but their hours are very strict.
They only open from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Thursday through Monday. We monitor these slots constantly. If Air Traffic Control holds you in Nassau (check our Bahamas private jet page for Lynden Pindling operations) for weather and you miss that 6:30 PM cutoff, you cannot legally land at Boca. You’ll have to divert to FLL or PBI to clear customs, which wastes fuel, destroys your schedule, and ruins your car service plans. The moment we spot a potential delay, we pivot and reroute your customs stop to PBI or Miami so you don’t get stuck circling the coast. This active management is why clients use Fly Bitlux for their international Boca Raton private jet charter.
