By renting a private jet with BitLux you will be able to travel to and from Rio de Janeiro without the hassles of a commercial flight. In other words, you won’t have to worry about standing in line for hours on end.
Depending on how far you are looking to travel, you will need to charter a jet which suits your specifications. For short trips of around 1500 miles, you should look at small cabin/light jets. These typically hold up to 7 people with luggage allocations. If you are looking to charter a private jet from Rio de Janeiro to Fort Lauderdale, or jet from Rio de Janeiro to Chicago, then a light jet may be your best option. Some of the Light jets available for Rio de Janeiro charter are the Hawker 400XP, Citation CJ3, and Citation Ultra.
For longer flights, a midsize cabin is required. These jets in Rio de Janeiro are more comfortable than a small jet and can fly between many U.S states nonstop, with a passenger capacity of 8. Midsizes, like the Hawker 800XP, Citation Excel, or Learjet 60, are great for a fair distance and comfortable on jet charters that are 2 hours or more – such as, Rio de Janeiro to Denver or Houston to Rio de Janeiro.
For longer domestic trips or intercontinental air charter, such as Rio de Janeiro to Los Angeles, or even Seattle to Rio de Janeiro. we suggest super midsize jet, such as the Challenger 300 or Hawker 1000. These are designed for longer domestic flights and even light transatlantic travel, with a typical passenger capacity of 9 people.
Lastly, if you are looking to a private jet charter from Rio de Janeiro to Shanghai, or other International destinations, then a Heavy cabin jet or Ultra Long Range is required. These heavy cabin and ultra-long range jets are the pinnacle of luxury in private travel. With a passenger capacity of 16, these heavy jets can get you from one place to another in style, perfect for transoceanic travel.
If you are a traveling in a large group for business, then it is advised that you look towards the large cabin or heavy cabin jets. Some examples of Heavy and Ultra Long Range charter jets are the Falcon 2000, Gulfstream G550, Falcon 7x, and Challenger 604/605.

Rio’s history began more than 500 years ago when Portuguese explorers first landed on its beautiful shores. First French settled the area and then the Portuguese. A century later, Benedictine monks began constructing São Bento Monastery that still stands today. Eventually, gold was discovered nearby, and Rio became a financial base. As mines were depleted in the late 1700s, Rio’s economy began to decline. Soon coffee helped to revive the city, and development soared.
Rio is known for the Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Redentor) statue overlooking the city from the top of Corcovado Mountain. The statue was completed in 1931 and rises 2,310 feet above the city. Tijuca National Park, which surrounds the statue, is filled with native plants and wildlife such as toucans, quatis, and butterflies.
Another way to see Christ the Redeemer is by chartered helicopter. Fly around the statue, then cruise along the coastline for a stunning overhead view of the city.
Ipanema and Copacabana’s world-famous beaches get the most attention with their beautiful sands and palm trees contrasting with the mountains in the distance. Yet beaches further southwest can be less hectic and just as lovely.
The National Museum of Brazil is housed in Paço de São Cristóvão (Saint Christopher’s Palace), which was initially built as a palace for Portuguese royalty. The building itself is a beautiful structure, surrounded by gardens worth wandering for an afternoon.
Rio is in the Brasilia time zone, which is GMT-3. The country no longer observes daylight savings time.
The weather in Rio de Janeiro is usually hottest in February. That month also coincides with Carnival, so either avoid or embrace the crowds. August is an excellent month to visit with the most daily sunshine and temperatures in the 60s and 70s. January is the wettest month of the year, but it probably won’t rain enough to dampen your trip.
Rio has luxury hotels in almost every area, so no matter where you want to stay, you can find incredible options. Some top places include:
Enjoy the flavor of Rio de Janeiro with one of the many local dishes. The flavorful feijoada (bean stew) is often served with rice and a multitude of flavors. Pao de Queijo, cheese-stuffed bread, is popular at breakfast. Or moqueca, a fish stew with a variety of delicious ingredients.
For the most unique views, look into these restaurants. The dining experience is about more than just a good meal.
